Let’s give this live show a go…
Lunchtime historian Barry Enderwick — who’s made a name for himself by leafing through old recipe books and whipping up sandwiches from therein — has announced a one-off live date in London this summer.
Sandwiches of History Live! comes to Leicester Square Theatre on Saturday 19 July 2025, the only other European date scheduled being in Dublin the day before.
There are few details at time of writing, but we’d expect a tasty exploration of some of the best (hello Iranian kotlet sandwich) and worst (looking at you, salmon butter and asparagus) sandwiches Barry’s cobbled together in his kitchen. And perhaps there’ll be some special love for London’s sandwich history too (Barry, you MUST go to Max’s Sandwich Shop!)
